Cleveland Police's Chief Constable Jacqui Cheer to be quizzed by public
11:36am Thursday 14th February 2013 in News By Joanna Morris
THE PUBLIC will get chance to quiz Cleveland Police’s Chief Constable on Monday, February 18.
Jacqui Cheer, who was appointed as the force’s new head last week, is set to take part in a live web chat.
The will allow people to address Mrs Cheer with policing related queries and is being run as part of Community Click.
The initiative was set up to allow those unable to attend public meetings and those who may not have the confidence to ask questions in public to quiz police officers from their own home.
Chief Constable Cheer said: “I am looking forward to taking part in Monday’s online chat. The internet and social media have revolutionised the way in which we communicate over the last few years, and it’s important that we explore new ways of engaging with our communities.”
The chat will run from 6pm to 8pm. To access the chat and to ask questions ahead of the event, visit Cleveland.police.uk.
