ARSONISTS who set alight rubbish at the rear of a house are being hunted by police.

The fire was started at 4.40pm on Sunday, February 10 at an address on Caernarvon Close in Grangetown, near Middlesbrough.

An 18-year-old female was insde the house at this time along with her partner, their friend and her one-year-old son.

The fire was noticed by their friend who saw the flames through the bathroom window and he immediately went downstairs to get the young child to safety.

The arsonists set on fire cardboard and some plastic childrens toys which was piled up at the rear of the terraced property.

Substantial damage has been caused to the outside of the address and the guttering at the top of the house.
