MEMBERS of GOLD – Growing Older Living in Darlington – are taking to the streets with their Dignity in Care campaign. The group will be handing out leaflets in the town centre on February 25 to spread the word about their campaign to ensure dignity is at the heart of the community when it comes to elderly care. Anybody who would like to help the group on the day should contact Claire or Helen on 01325 388845.

 

FASHION: Polam Hall students will be strutting their stuff for charity at a fashion show tomorrow night (Thursday, February 14) from 7pm. Local fashion retailers have supported the event which will raise money Kagando Care, an African charity which supports a Ugandan hospital and orphanage school. Tickets for the show, which is being held at the school, cost £5 and include a drink.

 

PACT: A Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting is being held for Park East residents on Monday, February 18. It takes place at the Skerne Park Community Centre, Coleridge Gardens between 6.30pm and 7.30pm and will give residents the chance to discuss crime and neighbourhood concerns with their local PCSO.
