A NEW concept clothes store has opened in a North-East town – and is one of only two in the country.

Women’s clothing shop, Bonmarché, in Darlington, has relocated to a bigger outlet in the town’s Cornmill Centre as part of a new concept store refit.

Following the refit, customers can experience bigger fitting rooms with both inside and outside lighting settings, as well as seating around the shop to give shoppers a more comfortable experience.

Brand manager at Bonmarché, Steve Tearle, was heavily involved with the design of the shop, which is one of only two concept stores in the country.

“This is an exciting new store design and is all about the whole Bonmarché shopping experience,” he said.

“We have some very loyal customers in Darlington and we wanted to give them something back.

“We have included things our customers love, such as more glamorous fitting rooms and seats around the shop.

“We also have got some amazing products that can now be showcased to their very best.”

The new store will open tomorrow (Thursday, February 14).

Darlington's Cornmill Centre is open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 10.30am to 4.30pm Sunday.
