A GROUP of volunteers in Richmond were joined by the Rt Hon William Hague MP to pack boxes to be sent to soldiers in Afghanistan.
The boxes, for the charity Support our Soldiers, were filled with sweets, snacks, toiletries, pens, books and messages of thanks and well wishes.
Local campaigner Jake Grose said: "It was great to do our bit for Support our Soldiers.
“The charity has delivered more than 100,000 parcels to serving troops in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2003.
“It’s an admirable organisation and it’s great to be able to go a little way to showing our brave troops that we are thinking of them.”
