ARTISTS who want to take part in the Darlington Arts Festival in May have until Friday to register their interest.

The month-long festival is being co-ordinated by community arts champions Darlington for Culture (DfC) who already have a long list of artists taking part, including writers, musicians and painters.

Cafes and clubs across Darlington are supporting the festival which will run throughout May and feature film nights, literary events and live music performances at a range of town centre venues.

DfC chairman John Dean, said: “Lots of interesting and exciting conversations are taking place about the Darlington Arts Festival.

“DfC is talking to all sorts of groups and individuals who have expressed an interest in taking part and many exciting ideas are emerging.

“We hope that more people will get in touch so that we can make the festival as representative of the borough’s talents as possible.”

Anybody who wants to perform during the festival should email darlo4culture@gmail.com by Friday, February 15.
