THE jury in the trial of a man accused of killing his son by shaking him to death has been sent home for the day.
The eight women and four men were sent out shortly before lunch today (Tuesday, February 12) to consider whether Lee Clark is guilty of the manslaughter of Charlee Cameron Clark.
The five-month-old died in the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), in Newcastle, on March 1, 2011, five days after being admitted with bleeding and swelling to the brain and bleeding behind the eyes.
His father, former Darlington bar manager Mr Clark, 28, denies the manslaughter of his son at their home in Neville Close, in Gainford, County Durham.
The jury will continue its deliberation tomorrow morning.
The trial continues.
