A MAN appeared in court today (Monday, February 11) charged with the murder of his brother-in-law.
Mark Hall, wearing spectacles and dark clothing, spoke only to confirm his name and address as he appeared before Teesside Magistrates Court in a preliminary hearing.
The 37-year-old, of Cornforth Avenue, Park End, Middlesbrough, is accused of murdering father-of-two David Stuart Clark in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He was remanded in custody and his case was committed to Teesside Crown Court, where he will appear this morning (TUES).
Mr Clark died of head injuries in James Cook University Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
He was described by friends as being a fun-loving man who enjoyed nights out with friends and sunshine holidays.
He was involved in organising a charity football match last year in honour of his close friend Lee Lockwood, who was also tragically killed in Park End in 2011, to raise money for his funeral.
