CHARITY NIGHT: A fundraising event for the Dreams Come True charity will be held at The George Hotel, in Piercebridge, near Darlington, on Wednesday (February 13). The event, which will feature the work of a range of artists and photographers, is being organized by Ellie Ward, of Merrybent, near Darlington. The works of art will be auctioned for the charity.

CABINET MEETS: The next meeting of Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet will be held at 5pm, on Tuesday, February 19, at the Town Hall.

CHURCH FUN: A Fun@Four event, aimed at very young children, will be held at St Matthew and St Luke’s Church, in Brinkburn Road, Darlington, from 4pm to 5pm, on Sunday, February 24. The theme for the event is ‘The Good Samaritan’. Older siblings and parents are welcome.

MAYOR MEETING: Darlington mayor Paul Baldwin will attend a mayoral schedule meeting, at 5pm on Tuesday (February 12), at the town hall.

PRAYER DAY: A service celebrating the Women’s World day of prayer will be held at 2pm on Friday, March 1, at United Reformed Church, in Northgate, Darlington. The speaker will be the Reverend Sue Chew. There will also be a service at Haughton Methodist Church, at 7pm.
