Child left with broken leg after collision in Middlesbrough

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD girl was left with a broken leg following a collision in Middlesbrough on Friday.

The incident, which happened at about 3.10pm at the junction of ChippenhamRoad and Broadwell Road, involved a Hyundai I10 vehicle.

The girl was taken to the James Cook University Hospital for treatment.

Any witnesses to the incident should contact PC Andrew Overton from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 022781.
