A FORMER Branksome School student has become one of the first in the country to win a new scholarship award from the University of Lincoln.
Connor Walton, 18, of Albert Hill, Darlington, was among a handful of students to receive a share of the new £30,000 Vice Chancellor’s Award and University of Lincoln Scholarships.
Mr Walton, who is in his first year of a product design course at the university, received £1,200 from the fund in recognition of his excellent results achieved at Cleveland College where he graduated with three BTEC distinction stars and a B grade A-level in fine art.
He said he was ‘very happy’ with the money and will put it towards his rent.
