A PLAN to change the use of farmland to a mixed agricultural and equestrian site with three stables, a store and open storage has been rejected by a Government planning inspector.
Ian Myatt had appealed against Hambleton District Council’s decision last August to refuse his proposals for land off Sandy Lane, Islebeck, Thirsk.
Inspector Phillip Major said while he accepted the site was suitable for the development, concerns over access could not be overcome without damaging the appearance of the countryside.
