SITE EXPANDS: The Tara Park travellers’ site near Malton is set to be expanded by seven pitches in a bid to prevent families illegally occupying other areas in the district. Ryedale councillors are being recommended to approve the move when they meet next week.
SKATING ONn: The future of a local skatepark is secure after Malton and Norton town councils agreed to take it on. Ryedale District Council was pulling its funding due to spending cuts but has now agreed to continue spending between £12,000-£14,000 a year for the next two years, and the two town councils will then take over running of the park.
