POLICE are hunting a man who conned a sales assistant into handing over more change than he was entitled to.
The man, who is in his late 30s to 40s, bought an item from Rowlands Pharmacy, on West Auckland Road, Darlington, between 5.10pm and 5.20pm on January 8.
He asked for bank notes for change but confused the sales assistant into handing over about £10 more than he was entitled to.
Officers want to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident.
He is white, medium build, about 5ft 9in tall, with a rugged, tanned complexion and short, dark brown wavy hair with a bit of grey in it.
He was wearing a grey, zip-up fleece, blue jeans and white trainers at the time of the incident.
