Attempted robbery at One Stop in Cleveland Terrace, Darlington

Police would like to speak to this man following an attempted armed robbery in Darlington
A MAN armed with a knife attempted to rob a North East convenience store.
Staff at the One Stop shop in Cleveland Terrace, Darlington, were left shaken after the man walked into the store with the weapon at around 9.20pm on Monday night and demanded they hand over money.
He left empty-handed and police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.
DC Antony Kent of Darlington CID said: "Although nothing was stolen, the shop staff were left shaken by this incident and I hope we can identify him and would encourage anyone who thinks they know him to come forward."
The man is described as being slim and in his late teens to early twenties.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Police on 101 and ask for DC Antony Kent at Darlington CID.
