The following cases were heard by South Durham Magistrates sitting at Darlington Magistrates’ Court:
CASE COMMITTED: Colin Nicholson, 43, of Charles Street, Darlington, appeared in court charged with affray and possession of a bladed article. He did not enter a plea and the case was committed to Teesside Crown Court at a date to be set.
THEFT DENIED: Kirk Birdsall, 25, of Gurney Street, Darlington, pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft from a shop. He will stand trial before magistrates on May 7 and was released on conditional bail.
