Community group to hold litter pick

THE Friends of Rockwell Nature Reserve are having a litter pick on the reserve on Saturday (February 9), from 10am. Meet at the junction of Hutton Avenue and Riverside Way.
LIVE MUSIC: Musicians Unlimited, a local big band led by Mick Donnelly and featuring music from Glenn Miller to Frank Sinatra, will perform at the Travellers Rest, in Cockerton, for Opus 4 Jazz Club, on Friday, February 15. Doors open at 8pm, for an 8.30pm start. Tickets cost £6 at the door. For more information, call 01325-382676.
COMMITTEE MEETS: A special meeting of Darlington Borough Council’s planning committee will be held at the Town Hall, at 1.30pm, on Wednesday (February 6). Members will debate a controversial application to remove a planning condition relating to noise on a windfarm development near Sadberge.
