CAST members from a show billed as ‘the most terrifying live theatre experience in the world’ have taken to the stage in a North-East town.

The Woman in Black is being staged at Darlington Civic Theatre until Saturday (February 9).

Widely acclaimed by the critics, The Woman in Black is said to combine the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir.

The play tells the tale of a lawyer who signs up a young actor to help him exorcise the fear gripping his soul.

Now celebrating its 23rd year in the West End the show has sold more than seven million tickets as well as being turned into a Hollywood movie starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Evening performances start at 7.30pm, with matinees at 2pm on Thursday (February 7) and 2.30pm on Saturday.

Tickets prices range from £15 to £23. All seats for the Thursday matinee are priced £15. To book, call 01325-486555 or visit darlingtonarts.co.uk
