SINGING students performed at a school before they heard a choral session at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge University.
The 40 Teesdale School pupils travelled from Barnard Castle, County Durham, for a two day visit.
They performed a number of songs at Fen Ditton School, Cambridge, including music by Prokofiev, Handel and songs by The Beatles.
The pupils later enjoyed a candlelit choral evensong at King’s College Chapel where they heard musical director Stephen Cleobury lead the choristers.
Mr Cleobury later extended an exclusive invitation to the students to attend the choristers’ rehearsal on their next visit.
Marjorie Bedwell, the school’s vice principal, said: “It's fantastic to see our talented students broadening their experience in such fantastic surroundings and performing in a way that is a real credit to Teesdale School.”
