POLICE are hunting a tattooed attacker who left a man in hospital with facial injuries after an assault in Stockton.

The incident happened at about 2.50am on Sunday, February 3 in West Row in the town. The 27-year-old victim was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees by ambulance after the assault.

The attacker was described as a white male, of medium build and with short dark hair with a fringe. He has a tattoo on his neck and was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any information is asked to contact the officer Lee McKinnell of Stockton Major Crime Team on the non-emergency number 101, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
