Fake notes: Police are warning local people that a number of fraudulent £20 notes are in circulation in Malton and Norton. Shop owners and businesses are also urged to be on their guard and contact police if they have any concerns.

Camera cash: The town council at Norton, near Malton, has agreed to contribute £3,000 towards CCTV surveillance in the town.
