VIEWS are sought on a new plan to meet the changing needs of a conservation area.
Hartlepool Borough Council is asking residents from the town’s Stranton area to put forward ideas to protect buildings with special architectural or historical interest.
Sarah Scarr, the council’s landscape planning and conservation team leader, said: “The management plan which we have prepared for Stranton looks at what we feel are the main issues in the area and puts forward actions to address those.
“However, before we finalise it we would like as many local people as possible to have a look at it and give us their views.”
The plan can be viewed in full at www.hartlepool.gov.uk/managementplans and copies can also be seen at the council’s Bryan Hanson House offices, off Lynn Street, during normal office hours.
Comments can also be made to the Council in writing, by e-mail to landscape.planning@hartlepool.gov.uk or by letter to the Landscape Planning and Conservation Section, Hartlepool Council, Bryan Hanson House, Hanson Square, Hartlepool, TS24 7BT.
