Ryedale caravan park wins AA accolade

A NORTH Yorkshire caravan park has been named as one of the top in the country.
The AA has announced the winners of its Campsite of the Year Awards for Britain and Ireland and presented the Vale of Pickering Caravan Park at Allerston with an award.
The site was named as the best in the North-East of England and was one of five regional winners in the country.
The park’s facilities for children and woodland walk were among the strengths mentioned by the judges. It will also feature in this year’s AA Caravan and Camping Britain and Ireland Guide.
The guide this year features a section of sites which are best for features such as waterside pitches, stunning views, fishing and children.
It also details sites which offer eco-friendly camping and yurts, tipis and safari tents.
