Folk club set for live music

RAY THOM will perform for Darlington Folk Club, at the Copper Beech pub, in Neasham Road, Darlington, at 8pm, on Thursday (January 31). Support will be from George Armstrong. Admission costs £5.
COUNCIL MEETS: The next meeting of Hurworth Parish Council will be held at 7pm on Thursday, February 7, at Hurworth Grange Community Centre.
GET FIT: Badminton sessions are held in the Dolphin Centre from 5pm to 6pm on Wednesday evenings. Sessions cost £2 per person. For more information, call 01325-254370.

FILM NIGHT: Darlington Film Club will show comedy-drama Son of Rambow (correct) (12A), at 8pm, on Monday (February 4), at The Forum, in Borough Road. Admission costs £3, which includes popcorn.
TITANIC SHOW: An exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titantic is on at the Head of Steam Railway Museum, in North Road, until March 31. For more information, call 01325-460532.
ARTS CLUB: Darlington Society of Arts meets every Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm, at Hummersknott Academy, in Edinburgh Drive. All are welcome.
DANCE CLASSES: Belly dancing classes are held at Voodoo Café, in Skinnergate, on Wednesday evenings, from 7pm to 8pm. Classes are suitable for people aged 16 upwards, cost £5 and are taught by an experienced tutor, who has performed as far afield as Singapore and Egypt. For more information, call 01748-880312.
