AN evening of stargazing for beginners is on offer at the Wynyard Planetarium and Observatory.
The Planetarium, at Thorpe Thewles, Stockton, is holding its monthly guide to the night sky with a session suitable for beginners and intermediate level astronomers this Friday, February 1 starting at 7.30pm.

RACE NIGHT: Tickets for a race night in aid of two North-East charities are now on sale.
The event, on April 27, will raise funds for the Darlington-based Education Centre for Children with Down Syndrome and the North East Autism Society.
It is being held at the Cockerton Club in Darlington and will star Newcastle band The Zoos.
