Copper piping stolen from van roof

Police are investigating after several lengths of copper piping were stolen from the top of a van parked in Station Road, in Middleton St George, at about 10.30am on Thursday, January 24.
It is thought that the piping was taken from a tube box mounted on the unattended red Renault Trafic panel van by a man who got out of a dark green, old-style Citroen Saxo.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Darlington police on the non-emergency 101 number.
