A CAMPAIGN to put dignity at the heart of Darlington care home services is being launched this Friday.

The Dignity in Care campaign is run by volunteers of Gold - Growing Older Living in Darlington – who have developed a course to help care home staff better understand the needs of older people and make their lives more enjoyable.

Darlington MP Jenny Chapman and the deputy Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Charles Johnson, will attend the launch at a coffee morning at St Cuthbert's Church hall from 10am to noon.
