A MAN had to be taken to hospital after his car collided with a large concrete road sign.
The 63-year-old, from the Billingham area, was taken to the James Cook University Hospital suffering from fractured ribs.
The incident happened at about 9am on Sunday, January 27 at the junction of the A178 Tees Road with Elizabeth Way in Seaton Carew.
Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Jason Coverdale of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 15595.
