Bunny on the run in Barnard Castle is taken in by Royal Mail staff

SPECIAL DELIVERY: Staff at the Royal Mail office on Harmire Industrial Estate, Barnard Castle, have taken delivery of an unusual item – a lost rabbit. The bunny was caught on January 10 and is currently being looked after by the office manager. Anyone missing a large black and white rabbit should contact 01833-696120.

LET'S CELEBRATE: The NeST complex, in Barnard Castle, will unveil its first exhibition of 2013 when Celebrate opens on Sunday, February 3. The exhibition will showcase work from local, national and international artists. On show will be photography, fine and contemporary art, textiles, ceramics, wood turning and glass. The exhibition continues until March 24.

PACT PRIORITIES: The next Dales police and communities toegther (PACT) meeting will take place at Romaldkirk Village Hall on Wednesday, February 13, starting at 7pm. An update will be given on current crime issues and there will be the opportunity to raise concerns and set police priorities for the coming month.

PANTO TIME: It's panto time in Hamsterley. The Hamsterley Players will take to the village hall stage for on Friday and Saturday (February 1 and 2) for three performances. Evening shows start at 7.30pm and there will be a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.

CARNIVAL FUN: Mickleton Winter Carnival will take place in the village hall on Saturday, February 2, from 2pm to 4pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
