MEMBERS of the public will be able to have their say on plans for a £30m leisure development when the proposals go on display for the first time.

Plans for The Feethams Leisure scheme include a nine-screen cinema, 80-bedroom hotel, bars and restaurants.

Announced in November, the plans for the former bus station site in heart of Darlington town centre bring the potential for economic regeneration and hundreds of jobs.

Councillor Bill Dixon, leader of Darlington Borough Council, said: "The proposed Feethams Leisure development will see major investment in our borough from the private sector and is an exciting opportunity for us all.

"The public exhibition day will give local people the chance to see the proposed plans in more detail and share their views on the proposed development. I do hope as many people as possible take this opportunity to get involved."

A public exhibition showing the complex in more detail will go on display at the Dolphin Centre, on Saturday, February 2, from 9am to 3pm.
