A MAN has appeared in court following the death of a pedestrian killed when he was struck by a car in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Douglas Robertson, 27, died on Saturday, January 19, in North Road, Stokesley, after he was struck by a silver Range Rover.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said today: "A 23-year-old man from Wingate, Durham, was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday, January 25, 2013.
"He was charged with one count of aggravated vehicle taking later the same day. He will appear at York Magistrates' Court today.
"Witnesses are still urged to come forward if they have not already done so. Anyone who saw the silver Range Rover driving through Stokesley on Saturday morning or who witnessed the actual collision, are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101."
