A SECOND day of raids across Stockton has netted a further 13 people suspected of committing a range of crimes.

On Thursday, ten arrests were made for a range of offences including theft of a motor vehicle and abstract electricity, burglary, breach of bail and witness intimidation.

During the course of today officers arrested two 26-year-old men and a 42-year-old man on suspicion of theft, whilst a 36-year-old man and a 19-year-old man entered custody voluntarily on suspicion of theft.

A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and was later released without charge.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and handling stolen goods, an 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of making off without payment, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear at court and another 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of breach of tag.

Two 23-year-old women were arrested on suspicion of theft and a 34-year-old woman entered custody voluntarily on suspicion of theft.

Inspector Mick Jackson, of Cleveland Police, said: “We are pleased with the progress that we have made over the last two days. Our efforts have meant that we have been able to bring 23 outstanding suspects into custody and in due course they will be dealt with accordingly.

“We will continue to carry out operations such as these in future as we aim to bring people to justice for their crimes.”
