STUDENTS with an artistic flair are being given the chance to showcase their skills.

Textiles students from Northallerton College are the latest artists to display their work at the town’s Civic Centre.

The nine A-level pupils’ designs and creations - clothes, bags and quilts - are on show for the next month in the reception area.

Hambleton District Council‘s arts development officer Kate Staines said: “The quality of the pieces is outstanding.

“We are delighted that the students have chosen to display their work here as it gives them a chance to exhibit to a much wider audience.

“It will brighten up all visits to the civic centre – but everyone is welcome to drop in to have a look during office hours.”

The exhibition is open from 8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.45am tp 4.45pm on Fridays.
