GROUP WALK: The Darlington Ramblers will take part in an eight mile walk around Beamish on Sunday, January 27, starting at 10.30am. Walkers can meet at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Darlington, at 9.30am or outside Beamish for 10.30am. Call 01325-359110 for details.
CHURCH SERVICE: The morning service at Northgate United Reform Church, in Northgate, Darlington, will be led by Derek Jackson at 10.45am on Sunday, January 27.
CHEER UP: A community event that aims to give people fun and company is held each Saturday at Harrowgate Hill Methodist Church, in Darlington, between 4pm and 6.30pm. The Cheer Up Party includes community singing, soup and sweets and party games. Entry is £4. To book a place call Brian Simpson, senior steward, on 01325-264145.
