HOTLY-TIPPED comedian Iain Walker, from Sunderland, will be among a number of stand-up acts to perform as part of a curry and comedy night, at the Times Inn, in Seaham, east Durham, on Friday (January 25), from 7pm. Admission is £3.
SWIM TIME: Swimmers from around the region are being urged to sign up for the annual Swimathon for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which will be held from April 26 to 28. Swimmers can challenge themselves to swim 5km, 2.5km or 1.5km. Register online by January 31 for half price entry. Visit swimathon.org
