RED FEBRUARY: The Richmond branch of the British Heart Foundation is holding a Wear Red in Feb event on Monday, February 4 from 10am at Richmond Swimming Pool cafe. There will be tea and coffee, red cakes and biscuits, and people are invited to wear red, have red fingernails or have something red in their hair. All proceeds go towards the heart charity.

SUPERMARKET FUNDRAISERS: Staff and customers of Asda in Northallerton are celebrating the end of a successful first year of fundraising for local charity. The store has raised more than £5,000 in the last year for causes including local Scouts, a hockey club, a church organ and charity Breathing Space. The Asda Foundation also gave and extra £750 to the fund. Staff have celebrated by holding a can collection for those in need in the community and took around £200 of food to Age UK and Thirsk Clock.
