A BEAUTY firm has brought a touch of North-East glamour to celebrities including Pamela Anderson after securing a deal to supply popular ITV reality show Dancing on Ice with hair extensions.

Stockton-based Additional Lengths, which manufacturers and supplies of hair extensions, is working with award-winning hairdresser Paul Haskell, the show’s resident hair designer, to supply extensions throughout the eighth series of the hit show.

Mr Haskell, who is responsible for the hair design of all competing celebrities, professional skaters and is the personal hairdresser to Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, worked with Additional Lengths last series and has teamed up with them again.

Celebrities were seen on the first night of competition on Sunday (January 6th) wearing some of Additional Lengths’ products including Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie and former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who both used clip-in extensions to add extra volume.

Victoria Lynch, the beauty firm's founder, said: “Some of our extensions have already been used on the first episode of the show and we are working closely with Paul throughout the ten-week series. Dancing on Ice is all about glamour so the celebrities’ costumes and hair have to be show-stopping and breathtaking.”

The company has retail stores and salons in Stockton and Leeds as well as an online shop.

Mr Haskell, who has worked on the show for four years, also works on other primetime shows including Strictly Come Dancing and Popstar to Operastar.
