CHRISTMAS singers helped bring festive cheer to a North Yorkshire school with a classic Dickensian yuletide tale.
Risedale Sports and Community College choir delighted a packed audience of family and friends with a medley of seasonal songs at their annual Christmas concert.
Traditional hymns and modern day songs were performed with readings by teacher Ewan Thomson who played the role of Ebenezer Scrooge from the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
“This time of year is incredibly stressful and things have been tremendously fraught through rehearsals and in the run up to this concert,” said head of creative faculty Sarah Cox.
“But as always everything was absolutely perfect on the night.”
The hour-long show also gave audience members the opportunity to get into a festive mood by joining in with carols.
A giant raffle, with prizes donated by Risedale staff, helped raise £115 to put towards future school productions.
