A WOMAN has been dragged to the ground and mugged as she made her way home from a night out.

The 49-year-old was walking along Prince Regent Street near to the Arc in Stockton when she was attacked at around 10pm on Friday, December 21.

A man, who approached the victim from behind near to the taxi rank, did not make any threats but grabbed her bag, pulling her to the ground and ran off with it towards KFC and down the alley behind The Arc.

The bag contained a white LG mobile phone which held family photos on it, as well as cash, bank cards and other personal items.

The suspect is described as white, of slim build and around 5ft 5ins tall. He is in his early 20s and was wearing a grey or blue hooded top with the hood up, and dark tracksuit bottoms with lines down the legs.
