Teenage girl sexually assaulted in Middlesbrough town centre

A TEENAGER has been sexually assaulted as she walked through Middlesbrough on Friday evening.

The 18-year-old woman was making her way along an alley way close to St Aidan’s Drive when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her before crossing over Borough Road towards the Diamond Road area at around 8.40pm on Friday, December 21.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall and he was wearing a light coloured hooded top.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Kevin Appleby said: “We are doing everything possible to trace this man. We would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to police.”
