MAN STABBED: A 24-year-old man was left with stab injuries to the chest following an incident that took place near to the North Tees Industrial Estate on Portrack Lane, Stockton. He received treatment at the North Tees University Hospital. A man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place earlier today (Wednesday December 19).  Witnesses are asked to contact Stockton CID on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.

ALLOTMENT BURGLARIES: Twelve allotments were broken into and tools stolen in a series of burglaries in Brieerton Lane, Hartlepool, between 5pm on Thursday December 13 and 9am on Friday December 14. POOL CLOSURES The swimming pools at Hartlepool’s Mill House Leisure Centre will close over the festive period for essential maintenance work. The main pool and learner pool will close on Christmas Eve and re-open on Wednesday January 2.

ART EXHIBITION: An exhibition of the work of Hartlepool artist Stanley Davison entitled ‘Thoughts, Memories, Dreams and Observations’ will be shown at Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square from Saturday January 12 to Saturday March 16. Entry is free.
