A BUS operator is to raise fare prices in Darlington.
Arriva, which runs a number of services in the town, will increase charges from January 6.
The changes will see an adult town centre pass rise from £3 to £3.20, with a weekly fare changed to £11.50.
An adult ticket for the Darlington borough will be increased from £5 to £5.20, and a weekly ticket moved to £14.50.
Child tickets will also be increased by 10p.
Nick Knox, area managing director for Arriva North East, said: “We are committed to providing value for money but this can be a difficult balance to maintain.
“Current economic pressures mean that in order to maintain investment at current levels we need to increase a number of fares.”
