AMMUNITION THEFT: Police have appealed for information after shotgun cartridges were stolen from an abandoned lorry. The vehicle jackknifed on the Healaugh to Askrigg road in the Yorkshire Dales on December 6. It was not recovered until December 10 because of the adverse weather when it was found that some of its load had been stolen, including food, machinery and the cartridges. Anyone with information should call North Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting ref 12120211963.
