Public inquiry decision due in January

A decision is due in January over whether a public inquiry should be held into compulsory purchase orders for the £42m bypass for Bedale. The closing date for objections to compulsory purchase orders was December 11 and the Secretary of State is due to say next month whether an inquiry is required. If it is it will be held in May 2013.
