BUDDING photographers are invited to get snapping at Stewart Park to be in with the chance of winning a prize.

The winners of the 2013 Friends of Stewart Park Photography Competition will also see their work displayed in the historic park’s new Bolckow Visitor Centre.

Entries must be pictures taken within the Middlesbrough park over the last 12 months, and can include landscapes, wildlife, nature, people and atmosphere.

Councillor Tom Mawston, chairman of the Friends of Stewart Park, said: “The photography competition is a great opportunity for people to show us what they love about Stewart Park, with a chance to see their work on display and even pick up a prize in the process.”

Shortlisted entries will be displayed in the visitor centre and café, and three overall winners will each receive a copy of the book Memories of Stewart Park and cash prizes of £50, £30, £20 for first, second and third places respectively.

Entries must be received by Sunday, March 31, 2013. For more information, pick up a flyer from Stewart Park or contact the Friends at fosp01@yahoo.com
