A HORSE racing event that attracts more than 4,000 people to County Durham will return on Boxing Day.
At 12.10pm on Wednesday, December 26, the tapes will fly up for the first of seven races at Sedgefield Racecourse.
Jill Williamson, general manager, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to see the return of the historic Boxing Day fixture and I hope the region are as excited.
“We need to attract a capacity crowd and come back on a high which will ensure the fixture will remain where it belongs so please come along and support your racecourse on this date.”
The entrance gates will open at 10am and race-goers are advised to wear warm clothes and sensible shoes.
Packages start at £7 if booked in advance and under-16s get in free.
