Man hospitalised after collision

POLICE APPEAL: A 50-year-old man is in hospital with spinal injuries following a collision on Acklam Road in Thornaby on Sunday. The collision happened when a Ford Focus collided with the pedestrian near to the A66 slip road, west bound at around 6.50pm. Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact PC Paul Dixon on non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number V224854.
