SPEEDERS SNARED: North Yorkshire Police say 22 motorists were caught speeding on Masham road in Bedale by the speed camera van during a 40 minute period. All were doing speeds of between 36 and 50 mph and all were fined. Police have told the Town Council they will be repeating the checks to monitor speeds on the road.

MUSIC DONATION: A donation of £500 is being given by Bedale Town Council to help a Music Festival BAMfest get off the ground. Tickets have gone on sale for the three day event next May. Organisers told the town council they wanted to raise the profile of Bedale, put it on the musical map and show people what the town has to offer.

CAR BOOT: Local groups are to be given priority for holding charity collections at the weekly car boot sale held by Bedale Town Council throughout the summer. The sales are held in Bedale Hall park with different groups organizing them each week.
