PROBE OVER: Police have concluded their investigation into an alleged sex attack of a young woman on Loftus Bank, east Cleveland, on Friday, December 7 and there is no further action to be taken.

RELATIVES PLEA: The bereavement team at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, are appealing for relatives of William Mathieson to come forward. The 79-year-old from Middlesbrough died at the hospital on December 8. If you are a relative or can help call the team from Monday to Friday on 01642-835638.

POLICE INVESTIGATION: Cleveland Police are investigating the theft of a handbag containing a five-figure sum from the Thistle Hotel, Middlesbrough, on Monday, December 10. The bag, which contained a substantial amount of Euros, was taken from the reception area of the hotel.

ANIMAL RESCUE: Saltburn Animal Rescue Association will be holding a collection in Middlesbrough town centre on Thursday, December 20. All donations will go to the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and Re-homing Centre, in Redcar.
