TRAVEL SURVEY: Parents and children have been reminded to take part in a survey about how they travel to school and college. The survey will allow Darlington Borough Council to offer better travel choices for journeys. It can be completed at darlington.gov.uk and the deadline is Monday, December 31.
COUNCILLOR SURGERY: Faverdale councillor Richard Grundy is holding a ward surgery in West Park Academy on Tuesday, December 18, from 6pm until 7pm.
PACT MEETING: Harrowgate Hill Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting takes place on Wednesday, December 19, from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, in Harrowgate Club and Institute, in Salters Lane North.
WASTE MATTERS: Darlington Borough Council’s Place Scrutiny Committee meets on Thursday, December 20, in the Town Hall. Councillors will be updated on the introduction of wheelie bins in the town, and how the authority has saved £75,000 since banning non-household waste from its recycling centre, in Mewburn Road, in April.
